Newly added CIT workshop: GarageBand

CIT has added a new workshop you may be interested in!

Intro to GarageBand
Tuesday, December 8, 1:00pm-4:00pm
In this workshop, you will get familiar with GarageBand's digital mixing board, learn how to create a song in MIDI and/or real audio, and then tweak your completed track. This workshop is taught by Fernando Jones, director of Columbia's Blues Ensemble, whose latest CD was done using GarageBand. Jones is a well-known, award-winning Chicago Bluesman and educator. He is also the last musician to be mentored by Willie Dixon, and has been featured on TV and in magazines internationally for his music and his academic pursuits. Learn more about him at fernandojones.com.

Moodle Moot Monday
November 16th
12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Faculty Lounge

Moodle Moots are a gathering of Columbia Moodlers and would-be Moodlers to share tips and techniques, exchange ideas, ask questions and just have a good time. We meet in the Faculty Lounge (8th floor of the 600 S. Here's are agenda for this upcoming Moodle Moot Monday:

America's Next Top Moodle: Our featured faculty for the Month of September is Julie Redmond who will be talking about how she is in the process of building her class in Moodle

Moodle Chat: Time for faculty to exchange tips, ask each other questions, and share your classroom successes (and learning experiences...)

Hope to see you there!
