Upcoming CIT Workshops

The Center for Instructional Technology would like to announce next week’s workshops.
The following workshops still have seats available:

Collaborate Online Using WIKIs
Wednesday, October 28, 11:00am-12:00pm
According to Wikipedia, "A wiki is a collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites." Wikipedia is an excellent example of a WIKI and the article discussing a WIKI was actually created as a collaborative effort of Wikipedia users. WIKIs can be used for variety of projects and are very easy to set up. Learn how in this workshop.

Clickers in Your Classroom
Thursday, October 29, 11:00am-12:00pm
TurningPoint audience response system allows students to participate in presentations or lectures by submitting responses to interactive questions. Students can answer questions in class and instantly see the class’s votes. You can use it to engage your students in lectures or quiz them before a test. Use it to create a report in PowerPoint, or use it outside of PowerPoint to ask questions about anything on the computer screen. Clickers can be used with Macs or PCs.
