One visit to Columbia this semester wasn't enough for us, so we invited Peter Miller Gallery Director, Natalie Domchenko back to the Portfolio Center (she was one of our featured speakers at the Represent event in March) to meet and advise graduating students in the fine arts. As a gallery director, Natalie reviews the work of a myriad of painters, sculptors, photographers and interdisciplinary artists in consideration of exhibition of their work. Natalie will advise students on issues of sequence, format, capture quality and the appropriate number of pieces to send among other issues.
The Peter Miller Gallery has been exhibiting contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists since 1979. The gallery's current direction spans a broad range of contemporary art practice, including photo-based work, sound + video installations as well as painting and sculpture.
