Since graduating from Indiana University in May of 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in apparel merchandising and business, boutique manager Katie Klein has worked in retail in both the corporate level and independent. Upon graduation, she went on to start her corporate career with Hallmark, working for their retail division as a department manager. While she enjoyed this corporate experience, she was craving a more creative environment and joined Belly Dance Maternity in 2003. Now with three stores, a website and an independent clothing line, Katie is an integral part of this expansion. Currently she is focusing a lot of attention on the expansion of Belly Dance’s exclusive line, NOM, with design, management and production. In addition to management and production, Katie has buying responsibilities for 3 separate stores and a website.

A: It's a service provided by the Portfolio Center that pairs students with working professionals in their field. An Industry Expert helps you understand what materials to put in a portfolio (and what to leave out), how to package and present your work, and how you'll know when it's ready for prime time.
