The Center for Asian Arts & Media was created in 1998 to support, promote, and present arts and media programs by and about Asians and Asian Americans. It is the first Asian arts center founded by a college or university in the United States. The center offers a variety of arts related programming including dance, theater, and music performances, exhibits, publications, and public forums. The center focuses attention on projects of high artistic merit in the contemporary arts with educational components and features the very finest Asian and Asian American artists in large-scale programs.
